Two days later, Blake got his hands on a thick stack of files.
He almost didn't open them. His grip tightened, then let go as he flipped the folder open.
Holy shit. The second he saw what was inside, his eyes nearly popped out of his head.
The photos showed Sophia looking completely different than now—barely recognizable.
She was all over different guys, most of them total douchebags with bad reputations.
The worst one? Her clothes half off, neck covered in hickeys, sprawled between two or three men.
Blake squeezed the photos so hard his knuckles went white.
Then it hit him—all that crap he overheard at the mall. He thought that was bad enough. Man, he had no fucking idea how deep this rabbit hole went...
Sophia was chilling at the salon getting her nails done when her phone started blowing up.
She glanced down, saw "Blake" on the screen, and picked up with a flirty voice:
"Hey babe. Missing me already?"
Blake's voice sounded weird—super short, clipped.
"Come to the house. Now."
Sophia figured he had some surprise waiting, so she didn't push it, just said goodbye all sweet and fake.
Then she hauled ass to his place.
Buildings flew by her window. Before she knew it, she was there.
But something was off. The minute she walked in, instead of the usual bright mansion, everything was dark as hell. Not a single light on.
Blake was standing by the windows with his back to her, holding a tablet.
"Babe?" She tried to sneak up and hug him from behind. "What's the surprise this time? Don't leave me hanging."
When Blake turned around, Sophia froze.
His face looked scary as shit—dark, eyes bloodshot like he hadn't slept in days.
Her heart skipped a beat as she backed up: "Blake, what the hell? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Anything you wanna tell me, Sophia?" His voice was quiet, but it freaked her the fuck out.
Blake had always treated her like a goddamn princess. When had he ever used that tone?
"Blake—"
"You're scaring me..." She forced out a pathetic little smile.
"Why are you being so mean? Did I do something wrong?"
Blake snapped. He stormed over and slammed the tablet down in front of her.
On the screen was a video that made her blood run cold.
Fucking hell. It was footage of her working her magic on other rich guys she'd dated!
She'd paid good money to have that shit deleted. How the fuck did Blake find it?
Did he... know everything?
"No... that's not real!" Sophia stumbled backward.
"It's fake! Someone's trying to fuck me over, Blake, you gotta believe me!"
"You know me, how could I do shit like that? Plus... don't you love me?"
Blake's eyes were scary red as he spat out: "I wanted to believe you."
"When I saw these videos, I couldn't fucking believe it. The sweet, innocent girl I loved was playing me from day one."
"Even your goddamn face is a lie."
His eyes got watery as he gritted his teeth:
"I wanted to pretend I never saw this shit, but guess what? I heard everything you said that day."
"You have no clue, do you? When you were running your mouth in that lounge, I was right outside the fucking door."
Sophia's stomach dropped as she remembered the noise at the door.
Blake had been there the whole time!
Looking at his face—like he was about to lose it—she backed away scared shitless.
"If I hadn't found out by accident, how long were you gonna play me?" His voice shook like crazy.
"I just found out you've been bullshitting me since day one!"
He grabbed their framed photo and smashed it on the ground, glass flying everywhere.
It was a picture he used to keep in his study like some precious treasure.
"I treated you so fucking good... loved you so much." His voice exploded into a yell.
"For you... I shit on Liv in public over and over, just to make you feel secure."
"I even got over my commitment issues to start a family with you."
Sophia jumped at his shouting, tears streaming down her face, shaking like a leaf.
"How could you do this to me!"
Blake's face was white as a sheet, his red eyes looking psycho.
Sophia tried to explain: "It's not like that, Blake... let me—"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Blake grabbed her by the throat, slamming her against the wall.
"I was so fucking blind, thinking you were 'the one.'"
"And I hurt Liv so bad because of you!"
Sophia couldn't breathe in his grip, hitting his hand desperately.
When he saw her face turning purple, he snapped out of it.
"Get out." He let go, his voice ice cold.
"Pack your shit. Don't take anything that isn't yours. Get the fuck out of my house today."
"And don't ever come back!"
Sophia collapsed on the floor, completely drained, her perfect makeup now a total disaster.
That once cute, innocent face now a complete wreck.
"Blake, you can't do this... we're about to get married..."
Blake leaned down, staring straight into her eyes, looking scary as hell.
"Don't ever show your face again. If I see you around," he said slowly, making each word count.
"I'll make you wish you were dead."
The color completely drained from Sophia's face.
She got up shakily and stumbled around grabbing her stuff.
She couldn't even look at Blake one last time.
She knew whatever they had was totally over.
