"Kovam pocha di yen mela?" (is your anger on me gone?" asked Vasan.
Keerthi hummed a yes with a nod.
Hearing the knock on the door, Keerthi and Vasan composed themselves and opened the door.
Keerthi witnessed, Vasanthi, Vijay and Amrita present in the hall along with her parents. They all had a wide grin on their face.
Whereas Keerthi gave a cold stare at them for deceiving her with their acts. "looks like my little tigress is pacified and not angry anymore" Chandran teased.
"paa. maa. you both don't talk with me especially. Everyone here perfectly planned everything and made me believe la. Don't talk with me hereafter"
"Vasan, do you really need to marry this child? Think how much ever you want , take how much ever time you need. She is difficult to handle" Ambika teased.
Hugging Keerthi's shoulder sideways, Vasan spoke looking at Keerthi. "No need to think. For my entire lifetime she is my soulmate"
Everyone had a big smile on their faces. Keerthi and Vasan took blessings from all the elders.
Vasanthi was on cloud nine for Vasan accepting Keerthi as his partner. She felt sad for her husband who is not here to witness the joyful moments.
Keerthi gave a tight hug to Vasanthi understanding her unsaid emotions and tears.
Vasanthi then composed herself and cheered herself up to not spoil the good moments.
Ambika tried to hug Keerthi. But Keerthi faked angriness and showed a poker face . She moved near Amrita to talk about saree and other details for engagement.
Ambika did not take that seriously as she knows about Keerthi well who could not live without talking with them.
"ok how did you manage to convince Keerthi anni?" Vijay asked.
"I too had the same doubt. How are you managing her so easily" Chandran queried him.
"That's a secret. If you still want me to say ,then tell us how you convince mami(Ambika), then I will say" came Vasan's reply swiftly.
" ohhh. that is" Chandran started. Ambika hid her flushed face and gently beat Chandran on his shoulders. Shushing him. She then left to the kitchen along with Vasanthi to prepare lunch for them.
The guys laughed at her reaction except innocent Vijay.
In the next few days, everyone got busy with engagement preparations. Keerthi did not bother Vasan to talk to her all the time or spend time with her going outside.
She wanted him to concentrate on his new office and spend time on upbringing it.
Keerthi occupied herself busy with engagement preparations and took care of everything from dress, ornaments to stage decoration, catering.
The engagement was supposed to happen in her own hall. So Keerthi took extra care in all the things.
Vasan insisted that he who would buy the engagement ring and let others to take care of other activities. He did not even take Keerthi along with him to buy the ring.
On the day of engagement he slid the diamond couple ring which had infinite love as the symbol on her fingers, while Keerthi banded the other one for him on his long fingers.
The couple gave various poses for the photoshoot. All the guests went in awe seeing the pair who looked classy and romantic. Ambika felt too good at heart to see Keerthi's joyous face when she is with Vasan.
2 months later, Vasan and Keerthi got married. The astrologers told Keerthi's marriage would get delayed for next 5 years, if she does not get married now.
Hence Vasan agreed for early marriage as opposing to what he mentioned earlier.
The reception was a grand one held in Leela Palace. Vasan was wearing a thick blue coat and Suit attire with Keerthi wearing a lehenga in thick blue color.
Their pair seemed to be more elegant and rich looking. All the guests eyes were on the couple who seemed to be smitten for each other.
They danced to latest trending songs. Keerthi is not a good dancer and exhibited shyness to dance. Whereas Vasan was bold to go dance with her on the stage.
The different poses they gave for the photographers were breathtaking. Without much effort they gave cute poses, even the candid ones seemed to be more perfect.
The photographers found it really enjoying and interesting to capture their picture.
The marriage happened in ChandraAmbika hall as per Keerthi's wish. After all the rituals are performed well, finally it is time for Keerthi to accept the nuptial chain from Vasan.
Dressed in beautiful peach coloured madisar, she sat on the lap of her father. Reciting the important mantras told by the priest, Vasan was literally impatient and so do Keerthi, waiting to carry the nuptial chain on her neck from him.
As the priest was reciting mantras, Keerthi sticked her tongue out and winked at Vasan, distracting him from reciting the mantras.
The newly weds were in their own world teasing each other then and there with their cute eye locks and gestures.
The priest was the one who at times get distracted by their gestures and warn them to be serious in performing the rituals.
Finally the surreal moment came. The Iyer announced Ketti melam Ketti melam and the nadaswaram and thavil sound was heard.
Surrounded by her mother, and other relatives who had joyful emotions, Keerthi's heart was racing with every moment Vasan neared her with the thali.
Vasan tied the thali(nuptial chain) on Keerthi's neck making her Mrs. Keerthi Vasan. Amrita tied the 3rd knot as Nathanar mudichu.
Keerthi hugged his torso still sitting on her Father's lap, while Vasan kissed on her forehead. Detaching her, he touched his forehead with hers and locked his eyes with her lovingly for a second.
Distancing himself from her he then acknowledged the blessings and wishes from others.
Ambika had joyful tears on her eyes. Vasan and Keerthi performed the post wedding rituals of revolving around the homam . He placed her foot on the grinding stone and slid the toe finger.
He placed the vermilion on her forehead while throwing his hands over her shoulders and brought her closer to him.
Keerthi felt exhilarated for marrying Vasan. Keeping the Vermilion, Vasan proposed I love you to her and Keerthi too reciprocated with full of love.
Completing all the rituals, they had their lunch along with feeding each other. Ambika and Chandran felt contented for giving the best life for their daughter. Seeing Keerthi's happy face, their joy knew no bounds.
They had full faith on Vasan who would take care of Keerthi well and shower her with his immense love and care.
The audiences could easily find out that it was Vasan more than Keerthi who was head over heels in love with her. They both had undeniable attraction to each other.
Keerthi was surrounded later on by her cousins who seemed teasing her. Just then Vasan saw Chandran standing at a distance witnessing the joy of his daughter in awe.
Vasan strode towards him who had joyful tears seeing his daughter who is now a married woman , who would leave him and go stay in another house.
Vasan gave him affirmation that he would look after Keerthi well. "oh no , Mapilai , I am worried about you on how you are going to manage my daughter's silly acts and childish behavior's" Chandran lightened the mood.
Vasan laughed at his statement. "says who? the one who planned all this?"
Chandran looked at him in bewilderment. "Should you not celebrate the success of your plan?" Pausing for a second , Vasan continued. " the plan for our marriage and the help from astrologer"
Chandran was shocked to know that Vasan is aware of the plan. After the engagement, Chandran, Ambika and Vasanthi met an astrologer to see the dates for marriage.
They decided to lie to Vasan about marriage dates. Vasan and Keerthi was made to believe that astrologer predicted Keerthi to marry in the next 2 months. If not done, it will be delayed till the next 5 years as per her horoscope.
" how did you know?? And from when??"
"I have my own source to find out the truth" Vasan smiled.
"Why did you then agree to marry even after knowing the truth?"
"because my wife is worth marrying early. I don't want to miss the chance of having a loving and understanding girl like Keerthi at the early stage of my life. Your Daughter, my wife has captivated me."
Chandran was delighted and felt euphoric at Vasan addressing his daughter as wife for each sentence. He had full confidence that he would take care of Keerthi well. Chandran shed happy tears.
Vasan hugged Chandran for a friendly hug.
Post the lunch, everyone took some rest. Evening every one got ready for the nalangu. Keerthi wore a saree gifted by Vasan which had the name Keerthi Vasan engraved on the saree pallu.
The nalangu function which is supposed to be a teasing session for the newly weds by the youngsters, turned opposite.
Bride and groom did not give chance for others to tease them nor cared if they try to tease them. They hit sixer in all the balls thrown at the them making them all open their mouth in "aww and ooh".
Newly weds totally forgot the audiences surrounded by them. They played all the games showcasing full romance making other youngsters wishing to find a such a life partner.
Soon it was turn for the Keerthi and Vasan to sing the song.
Keerthi sang the below song " Manmadhane nee" from Manmadhan movie.

The crowd cheered for the song. Vasan did not shy away from her and started his song from the movie "Kadhal manan"

Keerthi mentally scolded herself for drooling at him shamelessly amidst of the gathering.
She could not help the shyness suppress which perked up when Vasan winked at her.
She could not just stop blushing when he mimicked open air kiss.
The crowd gave a big cheer to the newly weds.
Keerthi now felt how it would have been for Vasan on the first meet ,when she did the same to him.
Though the song was old, the lyrics seemed to depict their feelings for each other perfectly.
Post the singing session which turned in to a little anthakshari, the newly weds completed their remaining wedding rituals.
