"Kana kangiren kana kangiren kannalane" Keerthi was humming the song while setting the earrings on her ears.
Keerthi's Mother, Ambika entered the room and looked at her enthusiastic daughter. Keerthi was dressed in skyblue soft silk saree with elegant accessories accentuating her look.
Keerthi , who was applying kajal sensed her mother noticing her. Without turning her head, still her hands occupied with applying kajal on the other eye, Keerthi spoke
"why do you look like that ma?"
"ei. Tell the truth.. Do you already know him? Are you in love with him? May be is this all any drama from you both?"
"maa.... What do you think of me? Han??? I am not in love with anyone. That's why I agreed for arrange marriage alliance seek process. Why do you ask like that? "
"You never agreed to wear saree for the previous 2 alliances. But here you are wearing a new saree. You seem to be more joyful. Tell me the truth"
"ssshhh.. mother India, believe me , this is the first time I am going to meet him in person. I am not in love with him or anyone till now. If at all I fall in love with anyone , I will boldly come and say that to you and appa. Now, go get ready and ensure the sweets and snacks are ready."
"hmmm... let's see" Ambika threw a not believing look and went to the kitchen.
Keerthi's parents started searching alliance for her few months back. Previously out of the 2 alliance that came to meet, Keerthi and her parents were not impressed and rejected one of it.
The other one rejected Keerthi for being more outspoken and not up to their expectations.
Now Keerthi is getting ready for the 3rd alliance meet. She saw his profile in the matrimony site and was instantly impressed. Though her parents were satisfied with the looks and background details specified in the site, they were not fully convinced.
For the sake of their daughter's constant persistence, they agreed for the marriage meet. Keerthi objected to wearing a saree for the previous alliances. But here she was decking herself up with saree and accessories.
For some reason, Keerthi could not get his face out of her mind since the first time she saw his face in the photo. Today she is going to meet him in person and wants to impress him badly.
Keerthi is not aware whether it is really love or attraction or infatuation. She does not know anything about him personally. Nor she is bothered about his decision on the marriage.
All she wanted for now is to enjoy the excitement of seeing him in person. Keerthi was joyous and happy unaware of what his feelings would be on her.
