Will you marry me? - Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Few days passed. Keerthi still had hopes expecting ok from Vasan family. But was all in vain.
She looked dull and felt her heart heavy to face the rejection. She goes to her hall and uses her free time to search some information about him or meet him.
But keerthi did not succeed in that. On the other hand, Vasan remained too adamant about his decision. Vasanthi was not able to convince him this time.
He even removed his details from the matrimony site . Hence Keerthi was blocked with finding information about him.
Amrita and Vijay would purposefully bring the topic of Keerthi to see Vasan' s reaction. But he remained the same.
" Anna... Anna.. That sweet taste still lingers on my taste buds. Anni has good cooking skills la" spoke Amrita to Vijay.
" ammu ... I told you not to talk or call her anni" Vasan warned his sister.
" bro..we are talking about Padma anni. Our distant relative. Whom did you think hann?? "
Vasan scolded himself mentaly for his behaviour to talk unknowingly.
"May be someone is still thinking about ... what is that girl name da chinna anna" Amrita asked teasingly to Vijay.
"Hmmm that ... that... acchucho , I forgot.. hmm might be aarthi or swathiii..." Vijay purposefully gave wrong names
" cha cha it was something else" Amrita and Vijay looked at Vasan to see if he opens his mouth but that stubborn hard rock remained silent understanding their intention.
Vasan ignored them and sat on the sofa switching on the TV. A tamil song of Keerthi Suresh was played.
" haannn.. Keerthi.Anna.. We like Keerthi. She is our favourite. Do you like Keerthi??" Amrita and Vijay questioned feigning innocence.
Vasan got irritated and threw a glare at him.
" We were asking about actress Keerthi Suresh, why do you always think we are talking about your Keerthi?? Said Vijay sarcastically.
"Dei... adanga mateengala rendu perum?" ( Will you both not stop your silly acts?)
"Ok just tell the truth. Did you not like her at all? not even an ounce?" asked Vijay in serious tone.
Throwing a pillow on Vijay, Vasan left to his room not answering.
How much ever they tried Vasan was strong on his point. At one point of time his family members were fed up and stopped talking about his marriage.
Days skipped by. Keerthi became normal and forgot about Vasan and his alliance meet. Things were back to normalcy. Chandran and Ambika searched for other marriage profiles for Keerthi.
With lot of criteria matching and meeting everyone's expectation, her parents filtered few profiles but nothing was convincing for Keerthi.
Her expectations changed. After a long and heavy search, Keerthi agreed for one of the alliance to meet.
This time Keerthi and the guy met in a coffee shop rather than meeting at home. That evening, Keerthi informed her parents that she is not ok with that proposal.
"Why you did not like him di? He seems good enough for you. What is the reason?"
"maa, he is not that patient enough to listen to my talks"
"is this all a reason?"
"maa, just leave me, he is not ok for me. I did not like him"
Two months passed by. In these two months, Keerthi met around 3 profiles. But none of them seemed to be satisfying or impressing for her.
Chandran and Ambika even got frustrated with Keerthi at one point of time.The last alliance which they thought is very good and suit them all, ended up rejecting Keerthi.
They in fact kind of scolded Keerthi's parents for her weird questions and behaviour.
" What is going on your mind chellam? why do you keep rejecting every proposal?"
"paa. I am not doing anything wantedly. Just that they are not up to my expectations. And for your information, I just rejected 2 of them. The other one rejected me"
"Keerthi maa. the reasons for your rejection were very silly. You rejected one guy for his impatience. Ok at least that I can agree to an extent. The other guy you rejected him because of his shirt?"
"paa,the first guy was not patient enough to listen to me and called me talkative. Vasan was not like that. He did not angry at me.
The second guy whom I saw, the shirt he was wearing, it did not suit him at all paa. The same kind of Shirt was looking good on Vasan . It fitted well for him"
Chandran gave a cute glare at his daughter. Seeing his reaction Keerthi spoke " paa. really it suits him paa. For this guy , even the dress color is not in coordination with him."
"Ok What did you say to the other one to make him angry?"
"I was just joking paa. Like I asked if he was in to guys. He got offended at that. But when I said the same to Vasan he did not get angry at all.
In fact, I was talking continuously but he did not show any anger towards me." Keerthi replied her standpoint and bent down her head.
Hearing no response, she looked at her Father again who was looking in adorable manner at his love stricken daughter. In a low voice with a childish face, Keerthi continued,
" not only that paa,the watch he was wearing, it did not go well with his attire. It would look good on Vasan for the dress he wore on that day"
Chandran understood that his daughter is in love with Vasan. She is expecting the same qualities as Vasan in her future partner.
And no one can behave and be the same as Vasan. Which in turn means Keerthi will never be able to say ok with any guy she meets.
Chandran spoke about this to Ambika. Ambika felt a good impression at Vasan for the first time. She felt he is the reason for making her daughter go crazy in love over him without doing much.
But Vasan is no where interested to marry and then how could they proceed. Thinking about all this and nothing can be done from their side, the days passed by.
Few months passed. Chandran went on a business trip for few months to abroad. The alliance process was happening but not in full swing.
Keerthi was not interested in any and Chandran was also out of station. Hence things were going slow and normal.
Completing his onsite trip, Chandran returned after a long time. Now that he is back, the alliance process which was stopped for few days was restarted.
One day Chandran went to meet one of his new client at his office. On his return, he asked Keerthi to pick him up.
Morning he went by his cab as he has given his car for service. Keerthi was not in mood to give ride for her father.
She is in fact angry at him for starting the alliance process. On the other hand she felt helpless and angry at her fate for not giving a chance to meet Vasan in person.
Sighing at her fate and nothing can be changed, she rode towards the said office to pick her Father. Reaching there, she made a call to her Father while standing on the opposite road to the office.
Keerthi was waiting impatiently fiddling with her mobile phone. It took some time for Chandran to come downstairs as he was caught with last minute work.
Jiffies later, when Keerthi turned casually , she spotted Vasan on the opposite road, who was waiting to get in to the cab.
Seeing him, Keerthi forgot about her surroundings and rushed to meet him. She did not see the car which was coming in full speed and tried to cross the road.
Vasan did not notice her and hopped on to the cab and left. Chandran who came out of the building , saw Keerthi rushing to cross the road.
It was just a blink of an eye, everything happened. Keerthi was hit by the speeding car and fell down.
Though the Car driver came fast, he quickly saw her trying to cross the road and applied the breaks immediately. Still the car hit Keerthi harshly.
Chandran felt shattered and with the help of others , she was admitted in nearby hospital. Keerthi sustained with minor injuries.
The Doctor confirmed that there are no major fractures and would get cured in few days.
Ambika felt more worried at her daughter's state and asked what was the reason for her crazy behaviour.
"maa.. I saw Vasan there . And so I rushed to meet him. But he left without seeing me"
"Why are you doing like this Keerthi? By any chance ,are you in love with him?"
"no maa. just that.. I wanted to meet him and ask why he did not like me"
Chandran and Ambika did not know what to say. They were baffled and both felt adorable for her daughter's love towards Vasan. She likes him a lot and have not yet realized that she is in love with him.
Diverting the topic with general things, they made Keerthi take rest for the day. Her parents discussed about her future and decided to stop with the alliance process for few days.
Keerthi pondered over the question again and again. "Am I really in love with him as mom said?" She thought about it for a longer time and then realized her love for him. Feeling tired with thinking , she slept for the day.
