I looked him over—he seemed unfamiliar, though I might have seen him before.
He was some mid-level manager from the corporation.
But Xander acted like he'd seen his savior, strutting over with him arrogantly.
"Marcus, these are the big fraudsters I told you about."
"Quickly get corporation people to arrest them all. The nerve to impersonate Griffin Corporation!"
Marcus turned to look at Felix, his face instantly turning deathly pale.
His gaze quickly swept over everyone present. Seeing me and Hudson, his legs went weak and he almost dropped straight to his knees.
He grabbed Xander's collar tremblingly: "Are you blind? Who here is fake? If you have death wish, don't drag me down!"
Then he slowly made his way toward Hudson, sobbing: "Boss, I was deceived into coming! I knew nothing about this!"
"Please be merciful! I promise never to make such a stupid mistake again!"
As he spoke, he came over to me, and when he saw the wounds on my body, cold sweat poured down his face as he immediately bowed 90 degrees.
Then he dragged Xander over and slapped him hard several times:
"Did you cause Director Cross's injuries? Do you really want to die?!"
Only then did Xander truly realize the severity of the situation, but he still stammered stubbornly:
"Impossible! She can't be Director Cross!"
"If they're all real, why didn't you get notified about this operation?"
Felix sneered: "Because only corporate executives have the right to participate."

"Luna, no, Director Cross, you're magnanimous and won't be angry with me, right?"
"I'll act like a horse for you to ride, okay? I'll act like a horse every time I see you. Please don't hold grudges against me!"
I coldly stepped back several paces without any word..
Hudson blocked my way, staring at her sinisterly: "So you're Seren."
"You're the one who told me to crawl over and kneel like a horse? And broke all my prize horses' legs, destroyed my facility?"
"You said we were reaching above our station, that you'd sell my most valued subordinate to farm to raise horses?"
Instantly the atmosphere froze.
Corporation members all began moving forward in unison.
Seren grew more frightened, waving her hands frantically: "Don't, don't come closer."
"I know I was wrong. I was ignorant before. Please forgive me!"
She dropped to her knees with a thud, and seeing Hudson had no reaction, she turned to Chen Yu who was standing there dumbfounded:
"Think of something!"
"Call your family quickly to beg for mercy. You are the future heir! They won't abandon you!"
Only then did Xander tremblingly pick up his phone.
But no matter how many calls he made, they all went unanswered—not a single one was picked up.
Finally, his father's grim voice came through the receiver: "I'm coming over immediately."
Xander quickly agreed, a glimmer of hope flashing in his expression.
