It was another day, and classes were over. Ara was heading to the dance practice room with Minghao; they had decided to meet after school to work on their project. Jeonghan was pacing outside the college, glancing nervously at his phone. S.Coups approached him, noticing his friend's tense demeanor.
"Yaa, why do you look so tense? What happened?" Seungcheol asked, concerned.
Jeonghan wordlessly handed over his phone. Seungcheol snatched it from his hand, his eyes widening as he read the message:
"Oppa, you can leave. I have to practice with Minghao. I'll be late."
They looked at each other, the same thought running through their minds. Jeonghan broke the silence. "Let's go."
"Go where?" Seungcheol asked, confused.
"Home," Jeonghan replied, though he sounded uncertain.
Seungcheol stopped him, grabbing his arm. "Home? Yaa, your sister is already here, and you're leaving her with Minghao?"
Jeonghan hesitated, unsure of what to do. Just then, Seungcheol added, "And you know how flirty Minghao can be."
Jeonghan's eyes widened at the realization. "You're right. Let's go."
They both sprinted towards the dance room, fueled by a mix of protectiveness and worry. As they reached the room, they peeked inside through the window.
Inside, Ara and Minghao were practicing their dance routine. They moved gracefully, in sync with each other, their expressions focused and determined.
Jeonghan and S.coups peeked through the window, trying to stay hidden behind the doorframe. They watched as Ara and Minghao moved gracefully around the dance room, practicing their routine. The two friends observed silently, each with their own set of concerns. Seungcheol couldn't help but admire Ara's dedication and how effortlessly she danced.
Jeonghan watched closely, his protective instincts on high alert. He noted Minghao's occasional playful comments and how he subtly tried to make Ara laugh. Though everything seemed innocent enough, Jeonghan's worry didn't lessen.
Seungcheol, noticing Jeonghan's unease, whispered, "They're just practicing, Jeonghan. Ara can handle herself."
Jeonghan nodded but didn't take his eyes off the scene inside. "I know, but I can't help worrying. She's my little sister."
"She's also really good at what she does," Seungcheol reminded him. "And she seems to be having fun." He sounded upset seeing her laughing with other guy which is not him.
As they continued to watch, Ara suddenly stumbled slightly, and Minghao caught her, steadying her with a gentle laugh. They both laughed it off, and Ara gave a grateful smile. Seungcheol felt a twinge of jealousy but was trying to shrug it off.
"See? She's fine," Seungcheol said, patting Jeonghan on the back.
Jeonghan finally relaxed a bit, taking a deep breath. "You're right. But I'm still keeping an eye on them."
Seungcheol chuckled. "Of course you are. Let's just make sure she doesn't know we're here ."
Inside, Ara and Minghao were deeply focused on their dance. They moved in perfect harmony, their steps synchronized and fluid. Jeonghan's eyes narrowed when he saw Minghao place his hand on Ara's waist, guiding her through a particularly tricky spin.
"Yaa, why is he touching her like that?" Jeonghan hissed, his protective instincts flaring up.
Seungcheol, feeling a pang of jealousy himself but trying to stay rational, whispered back, "It's just part of the dance, Jeonghan. Relax."
But Jeonghan couldn't relax. His eyes tracked every move Minghao made, especially when he saw Minghao lean in close to Ara, speaking to her with a soft smile. Ara laughed at something Minghao said, her face lighting up with genuine amusement.
Seungcheol's jealousy grew with every laugh, every touch. His fists clenched involuntarily, but he forced himself to stay calm.
Minghao twirled Ara, then caught her gently, their faces inches apart. Ara looked up at Minghao, her expression a mix of concentration and admiration for his skill. Jeonghan nearly exploded.
"Did you see that? He's way too close!" Jeonghan muttered furiously, gripping Seungcheol's arm.
Seungcheol nodded, his own feelings boiling under the surface. "I see it, Jeonghan. But this is just dance practice. She's fine."
Inside, Minghao adjusted Ara's posture, his hands on her shoulders for a moment before moving down to her waist again. Jeonghan was about to barge in, but Seungcheol stopped him, holding him back.
"Wait," Seungcheol whispered. "Yaa are you mad or what she'll think."
Ara gracefully followed Minghao's lead, seemingly unfazed by the close contact. She stepped forward confidently, maintaining her balance with Minghao's help. The two continued their routine, each movement fluid and precise.
Jeonghan's jaw tightened, but he stayed put, trusting Seungcheol's judgment for now. Seungcheol, meanwhile, tried to focus on Ara's impressive skills rather than the jealousy gnawing at him.
Finally, the practice session seemed to come to an end. Minghao stepped back, clapping lightly. "Great job, Ara! You're really getting the hang of this."
Ara beamed, her smile radiant. "Thanks, Minghao. Your guidance really helps."
Jeonghan's protective instincts were still on high alert, but he took a deep breath, knowing Ara had handled everything with grace and professionalism. Seungcheol, though still jealous, felt a swell of pride for Ara.
As Ara and Minghao gathered their things, S.coups jealousy finally got the better of him. He muttered under his breath, "I'll kill this Minghao."
Jeonghan, hearing him, turned his head sharply. "Wait, why would you kill him?"
S.coups face turned bright red, scrambling for an excuse. "Uh, I just mean... um, because-"
Jeonghan interrupted, smirking. "Oh yes, it's because she's my sister, right? What a nice friend you are, Coups."
Seungcheol forced a laugh, trying to mask his nerves. "Yeah, of course. Gotta look out for your sister."
Jeonghan patted Seungcheol on the back. "Thanks, man. I appreciate it. But she's strong. She can handle Minghao."
Seungcheol nodded, though his jealousy still simmered under the surface. They both entered the room, trying to appear casual. Ara looked up, surprised but happy to see them. "Oppa! Seungcheol oppa! What are you two doing here?"
Jeonghan quickly composed himself. "We were just passing by. Thought we'd see how your practice is going."
Minghao grinned, sensing the protective vibe but choosing to remain polite. "Ara's doing great. She's a natural."
Seungcheol said, smiling at Ara. "We know she is. Just wanted to make sure everything's alright."
Ara rolled her eyes playfully. "You guys worry too much. But thanks for checking on me and thanks to minghao it was all better."
As they left the dance room together, Jeonghan's protectiveness and Seungcheol's jealousy lingered, they both were glaring at Minghao, feeling the heat of their glares, chuckled to himself once they were gone.
"Why they both were looking at me like they would kill me any moment". He murmured.
Seungcheol glanced at Ara, he promised himself that one day, he would find the courage to tell her how he felt.
